Antarctica is a continent, not a country, and it doesn’t have any official governing country. It is governed by the Antarctic Treaty System, which was signed in 1959 by multiple countries to ensure that Antarctica is used for peaceful purposes, scientific research, and environmental protection. No one country owns Antarctica, and it’s considered a global commons.
